Welcome to The Kentish VW Klub
We meet every first Thursday of the month from 8.00pm at The Windmill Public House, 32 Eyhorne Street, Hollingbourne, Maidstone, Kent, ME17 1TR (just off the A20, near junction 8 of the M20) and Mote Park in Maidstone during the summer months - so please come along.
Apart from the interest and fun that is generated by joining a friendly and informal club, there are also additional benefits that become available to you. The KVWK is an active member of The Association of VW Owners Clubs of Great Britain. This is an umbrella group for over 30 of the main clubs in the UK and is therefore able to pass on to members the additional network and benefits.
So you ask, what are the benefits and information that you get for your annual membership fee of just £15 ? Well here are just a few …
The KVWK prides itself on its interesting and informative newsletter. This contains the monthly news round up, information on events and an assortment of member’s contributions, ie., Tech Talk & Reader’s Rides. It is a forum for all our members to say whatever they wish or just to advertise vehicles or parts for sale.
On-line access to members and articles on the latest news & events. You can also publish your own articles, with pictures & weblinks.
Most good parts suppliers will give 5-10% discount to club members on production of your membership card.
Chris Knott Insurance Consultants Ltd offers special insurance rates for KVWK members.
We can provide a recognised agreed valuation certificate. This service is available to members of the club for a small fee. Details available on request.
As a member you may exhibit your car, whatever its condition, on any club stand we organise at the many rallies we attend. Sometimes those who exhibit even get free entry to the event.
As a club we also organise other events of our own over the course of the year, including quiz nights, treasure hunts, barbecues, ten pin bowling, camping weekends and cruises. Other suggestions always welcome.
Many of us have had years of hands-on experience with VWs. So if you have technical problems, come along to club night, there’s bound to be someone there who has experienced the same problem – and who’s willing to give you advice.
